This report supplements NPIC/R-119/64,
1/ which discusses the Taurage MRBM Complex,
(Figure 1) previously consisting of two Type I
MRBM launch areas.
The Taurage Fixed Field Site is located
in a small, gently sloping, wooded area, adjacent
to a primary road, 2.6 nautical miles (nm)
southwest of Skaudvile and 11.3 nm northeast
of Taurage in the Litovskaya SSR. Launch
Areas No 1 and 2 are 19.1 nm and 14.3 nm
south-southwest, respectively, of the fixed field
site. Taurage Railroad Yard and Taurage
Railroad Yard Southwest probably serve as
the rail-to-road transfer point for the two
MRBM launch areas and the fixed field site.
They contain, respectively, 8 tracks, a reversing
triangle, large repair shop, warehouses, and
15 small shops; 5 tracks, a reversing triangle,
and 6 small buildings. The two launch areas
and the field site are connected to these facilities
by a good, probably all-weather, road network.

(Figure 2). The next coverage was in mid--
and no change was dis-
cernible. At no time have equipment, tents,
or activity been evident at the site.
The fixed field site consists of four clearings
with two smaller clearings behind the western-
most pair of clearings. The four clearings
