Launch Areas No 1 and 2 are approximately 16 and 23.5 nm, respectively, to the east of Field Sites No 2 and 4, which are 0.6 nm apart. FIXED FIELD SITE NO 1 When initially observed in this site contained four launch positions arranged in a row with four large unidentified objects located on three of the launch positions (Figure 2). Coverage of this site later in showed at least four large unidentified objects located at Field Sites No 2 and 4 are located in a flat wooded area approximately 3 nm east ofYemil- chino and 28.5 nm west-southwest of Korosten. Site No 2 was not present in and was first apparent in Site No 4 was negated 25X1 D FIGURE 2. KOROSTEN FIXED FIELD MRBM SITE NO 1. The Korosten Fixed Field MRBM Sites No 1 and 3 (Figure 1) are located in flat wooded areas each approximately 2 nautical miles (nm) south of Litki and approximately 9 nm northwest of Korosten in the Ukrainian SSR. Addi- tionally, a new double loop road pattern was formed to the north, and two new elongated launch positions were now present. These new launch positions conformed to the 210-degree azimuths of the two launch positions adjacent to the south. On the next clear photography of the launch area in - the large objects previously associated with the launch positions appear to be gone. Several additional small clearings, one contain- ing a large unidentified object, and numerous small unidentified objects are observed as ad- ditions to the site. Site No 3 (Figure 3) contains two parallel elongated launch positions oriented on an azimuth of approximately 220 degrees and located on a double loop road network. The southern launch position contains a large unidentified object. Additionally, a large clearing is positioned to the northeast, but no other objects or structures are observed at the site. Located approximately one nm northwest of Site No 3 and 2.5 nm west of Site No 1 is a rail- to-road transfer point. Improved roads connect this transfer point with Sites No 1 and 3. Site No 2 (Figure 4) consists of four elon- gated launch positions arranged on loop roads, each with an azimuth of approximately 210 degrees. The western launch positions are 510 feet apart, and the eastern launch positions are 430 feet apart. 25X1 D Approved For Release 2~?FD Handle Via TALENT-KEYHOLE '[-~ ~~-~QJg~8 B04560A00430CO~~r~IOS~~~-?~y Approved For Release a0~(p0~~ R~TA~T8B04560A004300010020-9 Handle Via TALENT-KEYHOLE Control System Only TCS-10649/64 NPIC/R-5112/64 25X1 D approximately 210 degrees.
