Fixed Field MRBM Site No 2 (Figure 1) is located on level terrain in a wooded area approximately 2.0 nautical miles (nm) east of Domnovo in the Baltic USSR. The earliest coverage of Field Site No 2 was in On prior ~~overage of he site was not present,. aunch Areas No l and 2 were ob- served as complete on .and are located 13.0 and 13.5 nm, respectively, northeast of Field Site No 2. ~ Another field site within the complex is located near Pravdinsk and is designated as Fixed Field MRBM Site No 1. This site was also first observed on and is 25X1 D located 4.8 nm southeast of Field Site No 2. Site No 2 (Figure 2) consists of four launch positions arranged iri an L-shaped pat- tern. A double semicircular road network with cross links connects with three of the launch positions; the fourth is situated to the. east and connected to the double semicircular road network by a small loop road. At the site entrance are two buildings probably serving as sentry build- ings. Along this road and approximately 0.5 nm to the east is a building area containing about a dozen buildings. The building area has the general appearance of a possible site support area; its buildings are quite different from those in the nearby villages or towns. However, the building area was present in whereas the field site was first apparent in _ and no definite association between the building area and field site can be seen on available photography. No erectors or vehicles were discernible at the field site on any KEY- TCS-10659/64 NPIC/R-5137/64 HOLE mission nor is there any vehicular traffic. associated buildings were present; however, only two launch positions were discernible. Sub- sequent KEYHOLE coverage of revealed four launch positions. A probable rail-to-road transfer point for Launch Areas No 1 and 2 is a Znamensk rail yard 16 nm north-northwest of the fixed field site. The rail siding at Pravdinsk, 3.7 nm to the north of Field Site No 1, is also probably utilized by the complex and a siding located 1.5 nm 'to the west-southwest is probably utilized by Field Site No 2.
