Znamensk MRBM Complex, previously con-
sisting of two Type I launch areas and a fixed
field site, together with two probable rail-to-
road transfer points.
Fixed Field MRBM Site No 2 (Figure 1)
is located on level terrain in a wooded area

of Domnovo in the Baltic USSR. The earliest

located near Pravdinsk and is designated as
Fixed Field MRBM Site No 1. This site was
also first observed on and is 25X1 D
located 4.8 nm southeast of Field Site No 2.
Site No 2 (Figure 2) consists of four

the south of the site. At the site entrance are
two buildings probably serving as sentry build-
ings. Along this road and approximately 0.5
nm to the east is a building area containing
about a dozen buildings. The building area
has the general appearance of a possible site
support area; its buildings are quite different
from those in the nearby villages or towns.
However, the building area was present in

site was first apparent in

the building area and field site can be seen on
available photography. No erectors or vehicles

associated buildings were present; however,
only two launch positions were discernible. Sub-
sequent KEYHOLE coverage of
revealed four launch positions.
A probable rail-to-road transfer point for
Launch Areas No 1 and 2 is a Znamensk rail
yard 16 nm north-northwest of the fixed field
site. The rail siding at Pravdinsk, 3.7 nm
to the north of Field Site No 1, is also probably
utilized by the complex and a siding located 1.5
nm 'to the west-southwest is probably utilized
by Field Site No 2.
