The Chin -Ian Chiang Motor Torpedo Base is located on the north- eastern coast of Hai-nan Tao (Island) between Ching-Ian Chiang (Bay) and Pa-men Wan (Bay) and 0.5 nautical miles southeast of Ching-lan- shang-shih at 19-33N 110-49E (Figure 1). This base (Figures 2 and 3) was first observed on photography in - and comparative Cling-Ian- shang-shill FERRY -CHING-LAN CHIANG analysis reveals no major changes to facilities or buildings as of~ DESCRIPTION Facilities at the base (Figure 3) consist of a transverser platform and launching cradle with 12 storage cradles at right angles to the platform. a marine railway, a T-head pier and possible pontoon extension, a quaycd area, and numerous associated buildings.
