2. Route 137 Alignment Complete
The previously reported segments of Route 137 are now fully connected.
The alignment extends from a junction with North Vietnam Route 101 at
17-36N 106-18E generally southwest, becoming Laos Route 912 at the border,
to a junction with Laos Route 911 at 17-03N 105-5(E. The route appears to
be in a late stage of construction with limited serviceability. Vehicle
tracks are observed along the entire road; however, there is no evidence
of current through-traffic use. The final connecting segment of Route 137
extends from the previous construction terminus at 17-26N 106-13E generally
SSW, crossing the Toum Prou (stream), to former terminus at 17-21N 106-12E.
