Reference: Your letter of November 11 , 19 69, concerning
thermistors.
Dear Herb:
We ordered five thermistors for our initial task. Since you
and I talked, four of them have been delivered and there is, therefore,
not much point in your getting excited about "picking them up in

I suggest you go ahead and order on your own; particularly
since I will be engaged in a design review during the time that we had
originally set for testing. Bob could give you the details on this change
of plan; it is not in my control.
The weeks of December 8th and 15th are likewise booked up by STAT
my trip or additional design reviews which will prevent my
participating in any testing activity. You will note that this period is
followed by Christmas and New Years', so that it would seem that I
will be unavailable one way or another for the next seven or eight weeks.
Sometime after the middle of January, I will probably be return-
ing for an acceptance testing program which might be for an STAT
extended time. Perhaps the Black Box can be fitted into this trip from
my standpoint.
Failing my being able to get together with you for the testing of
the Black Box, an alternative would be to perform the test on your own.
If you want to go this route, let me know right away and I will try and put
together some sort of test procedure outline.
I don't want to get involved in anything that could be construed
as acceptance testing of this equipment. However, if I can help you with
what really amounts to your acceptance test procedure, I will be pleased
to do so.
