SUBJECT: High Precision Stereo Comparator Program
1. A meeting of the Stereo Comparator Coordinating Group was held
on 15 September 1969 in the 5S.-453 Conference Room. In attendance were
representatives from: IEG/PHD, PSG/AID, PPBS, TSSG/RED, TSSG/SSD, TSSG/ESD,
and TSSG/APSD._
2. The following items were discussed at the meeting:

going through the slow tedious process of alignment and testing. They
are taking extreme care with this phase of the work and three tests
are made on all alignments. The image wander for the focus range ofver
the objective lens has been tested and found to be less than .15 u
the 3 mm. range. The specifications call for the wander to be less

with personnel rovided a list of long lead time items.

French motors (6 months), etc=suggested that we try split funding
the spare parts over several years. They also pointed out where we

might order items like the glass platens now, but not have to pay for
them until a year or 18 months later.

have maintenance people trained on theomputer and
suggested that'NPIC might wish to take up is option without cost.
h. Arrangements have been made and cover. orders taken care of to
25X1 train two NPIC people Ion programming the Computer .
This training will take place e last two weeks of October.

building to control the air flow and temperature control for the
25X1A clean room stated that it will be completed by 1 October
and it will be held a e contractors to inspect. It will

Clean Room and Site Preparation for the Stereo Comparator. GSA awarded a
contract in mid September. The site should be ready in adequate time for
the stereo comparator installation.
