Trip Report - 1 February 65 to _re. Chip Printer -
STATOTHR
1. Film will be read emulsion side up.
2. Final draft of preliminary design complete - will
have copy to take back.

4. Film transport - Idler arm for tension control, one roller each
end on emulsion side. Both damage film.
Using Wang shaft encoders - any objections? - OK to use.

Data Recording - Solid state system available. Additional cost
4x. more density.
8. Color - Investigate.
Torque arm and pressure roller - see (4) above - Recommended
air bearing and removal of torque arm
10. Getting .012 "over 5' distance W/absolute repeatability.
Hope for 0.006"
11. Handwheel control for x & fi4ositioning..Joystick for slew.
