Progress Report # 9
Reporting Period: 1 March through 31 March 1962
1. Work C omieted
A. In Task 1.2, the effort planned to devote to the development
of techniques has been completed.
B. In Task 2.3.1 , the control site miniature photography is being
evaluated, and data obtained by graphical means.
C . In Task 2.3.2 , the photographs from the most distant caalera
site were reread. This work was done for those discreet images for
which X, Y, Z coordinates were to be computed. Recomputation has nt>t
been completed as yet.
D. In Task 3.0, a concentrated effort was made toward the com-
pletion of the first draft of the manual.
II. Technical Conference
On Friday, 30 March 1962, two technical representatives were given
a briefing on the work completed to date and the anticipated completion of
various sections of the project. The technical representatives emphasized
the prime importance of Part I of the manual and stated that Part 2 was of
less iraportance.

A. In Task 2.3.1, the control site miniature photography will continue
to be evaluated by graphical means.
B. In Task 2.3.2 , it is planned to recompute toe coordinate data
reread from the selected image points.
C. In Task 3.0, a continuing effort will be made to complete a first
draft of the manual as soon as possible.
