2. briefed the other attendees on the capability of the
existing rectifier, of the proposed modification to the existing rectifier,
and of the proposed new rectifier (H-229-A). After a general discussion on
the technical features of the rectifiers, departed.

3. The remaining attendees discussed the problem of the disposition
of the two rectifiers (the Army rectifier which is at ESPA AMS, and the
TID/NPIC rectifier which is at the . The following 25X1A
dispositions are possible:
a. Both rectifiers at ESPA;
b. Both rectifiers at NPIC; or
c. One rectifier at each location. (This would present a problem
as the ltech rep would expend a lot of time traveling between the
two loco ions.
4. It was the consensus of the attendees that a valid decision as to
the disposition of the rectifiers can not be made until both TID and ESPA
have had an opportunity to thoroughly examine some of the rectified material.
It was decided that the following course of action would be taken:
a. ESPA will select a group of from eight to twelve frames from
one pass in a single mission. These frames will be chosen so they will
cover about one sheet of a 1:250,000 scale map. ESPA will then forward
the mission, pass and frame numbers to TID.

b. TID will write the necessary computer programs and produce
the required tapes for the rectifier.
c. technical representative) will make
the required rectified ma eria, .
d. ESPA will examine the rectified material in terms of its
photogrammetric value and will send a brief written report to TP&DS/
NPIC stating its findings, conclusions and recommendations.
5. After TP&DS and TID have received and read the ESPA report,
another meeting will be held at which representatives of ESPA, TP&DS, TID,
and the Army Detachment will decide the disposition of the rectifiers. A
decision must be reached by the end of this month so the architects for the
new ESPA and NPIC buildings may make the necessary plans for installation
of the rectifiers and their shielded rooms.
