TAB requires new instrumentation (Flexowriters and telecordex) due
to frequent breakdown and a.ccura.cy reduction of present insta.lla.tions.
Telecordex in solid-state could be used far replacement of the present
tube type. The change from the present. system would be the possible sub-
stitution of the teletype for hard copy production.-and a. sepa.ra,te punch
tape capability for production of the 7 (seven) channel (6 bits + parity)
field data. code for use in the Univa.c ~-q0. This should fulfill their
requirements if the telecordex can be made to program a. teletype output
and the seven (7) channel tape punch far the Univac 4q0 a.t the same time.
