When you were over here recently you left behind photographs whichS3TATINTL

wanted to take with you. However, I am hopeful that within the next day or
so
you will be seeing the equipment in the flesh, itself. The situation on the
final delivery stage was, of course, most distressing in that we pulled out all
the stops and were working night and day to get this equipment ready and then
having achieved this although a bit late and obviously an embarrassment to you
it was delayed for a further 6 to 7 day due to had weather and lack
of suitable flights. This, of course, was one a those things that happen and
generally speaking when you are running late you find that luck never goes with
you. However the situation will soon be rectified by the arrival of the
equipment and the setting up and testing of it. STATINTL

Everything possible is being done to expedite the delivery of the 2
3rd equipments. However, it should be mentioned that we are considerably
embarrassed by the fact that the suppliers of the power packs, we mentioned this
to you when you were over here, do not look like coming forward with these until
the end of this current month. Every possible pressure is being put on them but
we just cannot manage to extract a better delivery date. This will mean that

equipment will leave id January and No. equipment mid February.
STATINTL
The Blocks and gratings for No. equipment will leave the end of
December and those for No-3 equipment mid January. If it is possible to anticipate
STATINTL these delivery dates for the blocks and gratings we will certainly do so but again
luck has not been with us as the master ruling was damaged and the new one which has
been produced will give us test samples at the end of this week. These have to
be approved by us and then supplies have to come forward and this will inevitably
cause some time delay after the return of information of acceptance. I was
naturally hoping that we would get the blocks and gratings for No.2 machine out to
Rome at an early date so that you could probably accept both machines from the No.
