C. 20020 SUBJECT: RFQ RD-3-67 AND In response to Request for Proposal No. RD-3-67 is pleased to submit its proposal for a.Coloir Sheet i m Dryer MR -In-accordance with your request, we are submitting herewith separate cost pro h h for Sheet Film Dryer and the Color Paper Dryer of espectively. Since both programs present many similar problems, it is possible, by combining them, to achieve certain economies primarily due to the elimination of areas where there may be duplication of effort. Accordingly, we are also presentin for your consideration, a cost quotation in the amount of which is predicated on _ conducting both programs simu aneously. Because of the developmental nature of the work, we believe that a Cost Type Contract would be the most equitable for both parties. However, we would be agreeable to the.. application of some form of incentive arrangement, if you so desire. 25X1A Our proposal is predicated on the incorporation of the attached terms and conditions in any resultant contractual instrument. This proposal is valid for a period of sixty (60) days after which ~eserves the right to make adjustments in order to reflect changed conditions. F.O.B. point for costing purposes is Bedford, Massachusetts. How- ever, arrangements can be made to prepay shipping costs if the customer' Q desires. Preliminary Inspection and Acceptance point is at contractor's plant. Final Inspection and Acceptance point is at destination in the Washington, D. C. area. This cost proposal is based upon the inclusion in any ensuing contract of the necessary authorization to utilize certain Government facilities in our possession listed under Facilities Contract AF 33(657)-8886 on a no-charge-for-use, non-interference basis with the primary mission of the aforesaid facilities contract. The Government agency having cognizance over the administration of the aforesaid facilities contract is the Defense Contract Administration Services Agency, eBoston, Massachusetts. The original acquisition value of the facilities listed on the contract is approximately If the facilities' cannot be made available on a no-charge basis, then the Fixed Fee set forth above should be increased by one-half of one percent of the proposed direct labor dollars. The Defense Contract Administrative Services Agency has approved -procurement procedures and has authorized-to place cost rei&ibursement type subcontracts up to,$10,000.00 and fixed price subcontracts in any amount without the specific approval of the Administrative Contracting Officer on contracts under his juris- diction and cognizance. It is requested that any "Subcontracts" article intended to be included in the proposed contract adopt these limits.
