a. Front light shade inoperative - Two washers were added
beneath each of the two end screws holding the light table top
to the frame and the "inside" edge of the shade was taped to
the roller shaft along its full length. The shade now operates
adequately, although not as smoothly as that at the rear. There
is adequate clearance for the microscope carriage and pressure
plate.
b. The front brake on the microscope carriage does not
function was unable to ascertain the cause. They
may replace the entire mechanism during the delivery of the
3rd table, but we will hear from them before that. In
retrospect, it occurs to me that the additon of the washers
(see above) might be affecting this mechanism.
c. Set screw on front end of left solenoid roller missing

d. Proper installation of glass pressure plate - now
appears adequate; however, may need additional fiber washers.
The pressure plate is not precisely parallel with the film
support plate due to the design, but with adjustment of the
bead chain and possible additon of washers it may be improve.
