SUBJECT: Monthly Contract Status Report #6
Advanced Light 'Tables
Parts and vendor is are being purchased on Tables If 1&2. Pattern
1. Objective:
To design and develop three Advanced Light Tables
2. Summary of Work Performed During the Reporting Period:
and casting orders were placed on 17 December 1965 with anticipated
delivery February 1966. All other parts have been sent to the
shops for fabrication on the wo units. A trip was
made tol on 22 December 1965
#3 design is running ahead of schedule. Other than fiscal and delivery
problems, there are no insurmountable engineering problems on this
project.

4. Analysis of Work Program Covering Reporting Period:
Progress on Tables #1&2 is as rapid as can be expected. Shop work

Work will commence on 3 January 1966 on the detail design of the
tracking light source positioning mechanism and traverse mechanism.
It is anticipated that this engineering package will be complete by 25
February 1966.

STATINTL Two trips were made to the plant by the COTR during
the reporting period.. Techhmn of the contract were
discussed with initial design approval of the precision micrometer
microscope movements.
7. Plans for the Next Reporting Period:
1. Continuation of parts fabrication for Tables # 1, 2, &3.
2. Continuation of tracking light source design on Table #3.
3. Completion of assembled layout drawing of Table #3.
