We cave fhially lummiced up ?Some samples of a proposed
X - Y coordinate marking, System and I am sending you some samples
marsh on our preaent titler. The tattler itself is not ..ult,able to
do the job, but it will, at least, give you the etf'e:;t.

1. The marks are at centimeter intervals. I don't think
it is going to be practical to insiat that the first mark in either
the X or the Y dire:;tlon start exactly one the corner oC' the format
nor at the came point on each frame, although there can be a close
approximation with l akillced operator.
2. The "T" and "V" were used because of availab'l1ty.
They could be either or a ;pimple bar.
3. Becauae we used exiuting equipment we repeated every
11 numbers Iii the X axis. In the actual dos ign I think i t would
be 1, 2 ---10, 1,2 --- 2n, 1, '21, etc., arid the Y ax.ia would be
cor ^ecutl velar A through whatever letter wa:3 nc ceosary .
4. In actual practice we would i>i ob:1hhly move the X co-
ordlitate closer to the format to allow for titling.
5. I think it would be possible to deal gti a single piece
of equipment to do both titling and X - Y coordinates so that no
time woi 1. i be
