Eight Viewers
Model 706 V
Contract start date was 29 June 63. Delivery date
is 1 Nov 63 with best effort to deliver by 15 Sept.
They hope to deliver 4 Viewers in Sept.
All purchased parts are on order and electrical parts
were on order by July 15. The first eaa square tube
welded frame is due in next week.
They will use 1" thick mirrors, ground in house to
32 fringes per inch flatness.
Their worst delivery schedule is the switches STATINTL
which won't be in untill< Aug 29. They are trying to
improve that delivery date.
They have been looking at the Sylvania Sun Gun as a
light source but they are not too hopeful that it
will cover their full aperture.
They will not to ve their new spindle torque control
drive in theses but they hope to have it in the
next 12.
It was not clear to me whether or not they have
accepted and signed the contract for the next 12
Viewers. At any rate they have not started work on
them.
