Subject: Transmittal of Addendum to Informal Memorandum "Establishment
of Data Entry, Verification, Editing and Approval Procedures
Attached are twenty (20) copies of an Addendum to the informal
memorandum referenced in the subject above. The changes indicated in
the attachment are designed to comply with the requirements of paragraphs
"a", "b", and "c" of your letter of 10 May 1967, subject: Acknowledgement
of Receipt and A roval - Informal Memorandum - Task A(1)d - Under Task
Order No. 17,
Paragraph "d" of your letter requests that provision be made in the
system for (1) Console Typewriters, (2) CRT Consoles, and (3) Line
Printers. We concur in this recommendation. Both the console typewriters
and the line printers have application in other IIS activities and can be
tested experimentally for use in entry, verification, editing and approval.
Whether a 3000(-~-) character display on a CRT console can be justified on
a cost-effectiveness basis as compared to consoles with somewhat lesser
capability will be a portion of total system evaluation.
We trust that this addendum will satisfy all requirements of Task
A(1)d under this Task Order.
