I am pleased to submit posal P-88 for work to be STATIN
done under Task Order Po on rac STATIN
This work was discussed recently during the visit o~ myself and
to your organization and involves the detection and suppression o
electromagnetic interference between certain digital equipment and an STATIN
associated IBM card punch.
A Phase I effort will involve the use of a Research! Engineer to examine
the problem in detail, determine the technical nature of the problem and
develop the approach to solve the problem.
Under Phase II, the Engineer will carry out his solution to the problem,
which will probably involve modifications to one orimore of the major
units. It is difficult to become more exact about Phase II until
Phase I is complete.
STATIN
We propose that all work on the major units be performed at your facility
by fully cleared ersonnel. The Phase I effortiwill require 80
man-hours of Res c Engineer. Our present estimate of Phase II is
that it will require approximately 160 man-hours fo Research Engineering
time. The rates are as negotiated previousl for this Contract. We
estimate materials cost at approximately STATIN

services for this task. However, we believe that it will be.more
efficient to provide some technician assistance to
