Approved For Release 2002/01/10 : CIA-RDP78BO4747 2600010040-9 16 April 1963 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD SUBJECT: Trip Report 1. On and 10 April 1 6 Program Status: We are now in the eleventh month of this contract and the requirements of Task No. 1, overall design specification and modification of breadboard model has been completed. Task No. II, display data processing studies, is 30 days behind schedule. This delay is due to difficulties in the shadow rejection circuit. The final changes to electronics will be delayed until difficulty in shadow rejection circuit is corrected. 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A Task No. III, Design and Fabrication. Electronics - much of the electronic design is complete, final design is dependent on shadow rejection circuitry plus proposed changes in output resolution. Fabrication of several plug-in electronic circuits is complete. The console design is completed and fabri- cation of the console has started. The optical and mechanical design is about 30 days behind schedule. This is the area. where most of the effort in the proposed increase in resolution will be applied. It is expected that with modification of the contract to provide higher resolution the time for completion of the fabrication will be extended to about 15 months. However, because checkout is being done on the components on a continuing basis as they are being fabricated, it is not expected to require the entire four months that the schedule allowed for this area. in cx N.Q,Yember? of 1964/ as called for in the present schedule. AY''-w! Assuming modification of the contract to provide high resol tion and raster suppression is consumated, it is expected that de very to Government of the Change Detector will be made in Jana y - F r;_ of 196+ rather than 4'a The current contract does not provide any maintenance service on this 25X1A equipment after delivery. I feel that some consideration should be given to a. service contract on this item. Declass Review by NIMA / DoD Approved For Release 2002/01/10, : -CIA=RQP78B04747A002600010040
