There are two approaches to mounting the machine for
use. The first is to make small portable or movable table on
casters with the machine isolated from the base through some sort
of vibration isolators. The second is to modify the top of an office
desk to support the machine so that the available drawer can be used
to store accessories or use the adjacent top surface to place the
work at hand. The desk would also have to be isolated from ambient
surrounding vibrations. However, this last approach results in a
somewhat more bulky unit if space is at a premium. The description
output of the machine to the computer has been left out because of
questions to which we need answers.
The enclosed photograph of thel Digitizer is STAT
representative of the unit we will soon commercia ize.
For your application, we will simply remove the cover
from the small box and mount the traveling corner cube prism on the
X and Y axis ways of the stereo chip comparator.
The visual output counter unit would simply have two
counters mounted one above the other in a slightly larger cabinet.
Enclosed are two copies of descriptive literature on
the IStereo Viewer. You may see the unit in operation

STAT o our knowledge, the unit perfor-
mance is very successful.
I have also included a copy of a Stereoscope STAT
Viewer with Fiber Optics Transmission. This unit is a take-off
STAT i,thout the cabinet, loop forming devices, etc. However,
all the fine high resolution optics have been retained.
