SUBJECT: Trip Report Concerning the Image Enhancement Viewer

1. On 5 November 1963 held a conference
with STATOTHR
of the Itek Corporation. Although the proposed fabrication of STATOTHR
the instrument was scheduled at least by 1 November, approximately one or
two weeks seems to be required for electrical cable connection and checkout.
STATOTHR program was reviewed by- and certain aspects 25X1A
were resolved to the latter's satisfaction. It was requested that all phases
of the research program be tried on the NPIC instrument in order that opera.-
tiona.l procedures be verified. The fact was established that STATOTH R
-program for enhancement of low altitude photography w ed STATOTHR
out not as a, portion of the BB 425, T.O. 4 contract but on a company proprie-
tary basis. Use of our instrument will be made and this arrangement will
not necessitate an extension of the Phase II contract time.
It is recommended that another visit be scheduled for November in
order to determine the progress on the research portion and also to make
sure that the fabrication and checkout of the instrument has been completed.
