MEMORANDUM FOR: Chief, Multisensor Working Group, NPIC
SUBJECT:. Suggestions on Completion of Textual Data on
NPIC Requirements Document
1. In your agenda for the twenty-second meeting of the
MSWG you indicated that various sections of the outline would
be assigned to MSWG members for the completion of textual data.
I concur with the suggestion, however, I would prefer a brief
statement rather than a complete and final write-up. The
brief statement should indicate what information they would
like from an impending satellite or aircraft reconnaissance
system and why they would like this information, as well as
their preferred lead-times. Their statement can be simple and
straightforward. If there are no objections from the majority
of the MSWG members, I would prefer to weave their brief state-
ments into the final document in my own terms for the sake of
continuity in writing style and philosophy.
2. I would also prefer that emphasis be placed on the outline
of the document rather than the textual data that I am including.
The textual data has neither been edited nor has management re-
viewed it for policy infringement. I would appreciate knowing,
however, whether or not I am proceeding in an acceptable form;
any such suggestions would be appreciated.
3. If the above is agreed upon,it is requested that replies
from each of-the assigned members be submitted to me by 20 November
1967,
