The photography collection is well underway. The field crew has been at
sites near Witchita, Kansas, at Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is presently
at Tucson, Arizona. They Caere successful in making arrangements for the
opening of Titan silo doors, but are not able to collect photography of open
~4inuteman silo doors.
made several suggestions for the image content and layout for
the mensuration study. These and other items concerning the mensuration
study were discussed among CM, RS and FS on 14 July. As a result
the image layout will be somewhat Brent from the initial layout suggested
by FS on 21 June b5.
One or several pilot-run images are being prepared.. These will serve to
de-bug their preparation techniques and caul also be measured so that
mensuration, and data reduction and analysis procedures can be optimized
prior to the making of all the images for the study. AH, and FS are tentatively
planning to visit CM's shop during 10-12 August to observe mensuration
technic~ues applied to the pilot image and to discuss with CM and
refined procedures to be employed in the study.
