SUBJECT: Visitation Report, 9 November 1966
2. PAR 243:
the seven unit procurement I Task 4.
a. We had expected to deliver to on 26 Nov 66:
(1) A preliminary Spare Parts List providing engineering
judgement of the recommended FAK and of Base Spares.
(2) A revised edition of the tentative specification for
the BPE, Specification Number 469-333.
(3) Installation data for the BPE.
This material is not complete and is now scheduled for delivery, by mail, be-
fore 24 December 1966. Eight copies of each should be provided. 5x1
provided copies of a questionnaire form used by the customer for Installation
Engineering Data. It can serve as an outline for our presentation of that
information.
b. asked for more detail on the problem and on our 25X1
approach to the removal of the bead of immersion fluid on the bottom edge of
the negative web as mentioned in our 30 September Monthly Report. We described
the camel hair brush idea and the mechanism for placing the brushes in contact
with the film. They recommended that the brushes be made easily removable
for thorough cleaning and that spare brushes be provided in the FAK.

has had response from all of the liaison men 25X1
excepti (WPAFB, 3 enlargers) upon the available electrical power 25X1
for their BPE. All can provide the preferred 3-phase, 4-wire, 208/120-
volts, 60-cycle power.
b. expects to visit here the first week of January 25X1
1967 to review the assembly progress on PAR 243 and to schedule a liaison ses-
sion for th~instruments in late January or 1 February. Our delivery 25X1
schedule will be based upon the assumption of full release of drawings to
the contractor's shop by 15 January 1967.
c. We are scheduled to deliver informational copies of the
BPE Operation and Maintenance Manual (produced on PAR 24+3) for the technical
liaison team on 3 June 1967.
4. PAR 2444, Spare Parts for RT Processor:
a. We reported progress in releasing orders and drawings for
these parts and outlined the expected delivery 25X1
xpected dschedule. re-
quested early partial delivery where possible since the RT-l2 will be in
production use as a negative machine in the next few weeks.
5. PAR 24+5, High Magnification Lens Set for BPE:
a. Iasked for more information on the expected per- 25X1
formance of the 60X to 97X objective lens as reported in our 30 September
Monthly Report. This was provided and they concurred in our planned contin-
uation of the fabrication of sample lenses and focusing assemblies.
6. Miscellaneous, Unimak Titlert
a. had been requested by I A to obtain ~?Ml
available information on this equipment. We had no printed material other
than the original PAR request. arranged for them to see the
instrument.
