has been made only on 16 and 35mm film. He expressed strong doubts this could be produced in chip form and if it
was, extreme curl would be expected. Also, no information
is available on processing in chip form.
try. Discussions with office, _25X1
A suggested color film, based primarily upon high
resolution, has been 5389 emulsion. Our_____ 25X1
contacts with lead us to believe that this 0~-t~
color film is a reproduction film utilized in the movie indus -i''``'
Based upon the above, it is our feeling that a direct
contact should be made with to justify the
following:
system ?
a. Is this the color film we wish to utilize in this VI)
b. If so, can processing information be supplied %
when utilized in chip form?
c. What is the anticipated amount of curl and can
this be corrected by anti-curl backing?
d. Can this emulsion be applied to an ESTAR base?
e. For this or any color film, what are
recommendations for light source as
25X1
f. If the above emulsion cannot be utilized, what
others might there be, and do the same ans-
wers to the above questions apply in all cases?

Can we anticipate any additional or unusual re-
sults because of the liquid gate when utilizing
color film?
On the basis of the questions above, the item regarding the
adaptation of the 105 Program for color film will be held in
abeyance until further notice.
