Thel ONCAP Viewer-Printer, Model 1155, offers
light-table viewing and selective printing of processed roll film in widths
from 70mm to 9-1/2 inches. Features include motor-driven film and paper
transport systems, adjustable viewing area with continuously variable
illumination, automatic dry processing of contact paper prints, and recess-
ed panel controls.
Either MS or Type B film spools-may be mounted on the individual
drive assemblies of the film and paper transport systems. Each drive
assembly consists of a torque motor with belt and pulleys, a driven spool
support, and an adjustable spool support. The full-load capacity is 1000
feet of film and 250 feet of printing paper.
The light-table portion of the ONCAP viewer consists of a flashed-
opal white (translucent) viewing panel that is illuminated by a fluorescent
light source of variable intensity. Single-point control of illumination is
accomplished by one potentiometer that is electrically connected to a bank
of ballast/dimming transformers which regulate the brilliance of the fluores-
cent tubes. An adjustable mask, mounted beneath the viewing surface, con-
fines panel illumination to suit different film widths. The maximum illumi-
nated viewing area is 11 inches wide by 20 inches long.
A selected film frame may be positioned over an exposure panel
to obtain a paper print. Upon actuation of a switch, the film frame is
contact printed using an ultraviolet light source, and the print is dry proc-
essed by a heated Teflon-coated plate. This automatic, ultraviolet-
sensitive, direct-contact, dry-heat process results in an extremely high-
resolution print within a few seconds.
Control panels of the ONCAP Viewer-Printer are recessed to pro-
tect control knobs and switches from accidental actuation or movement.
Modes 1 155 is contructed of high-grade steel and is finished with baked
enamel. Its relatively simple desi 1n, ri jtd frame, and high quality parts
and components insure the user of optimum performance and dependable
operation.
