1. The program schedule calls for 82% of the work to be completed and. 77%
is actually complete.

2. The front of this report lists '78% of the funds expended, this includes

3. reject Manager visited. from 5-1.6 December 1969 to determine
the cause 01' slip in the optical- subcontract schedule. The delay was due to
a 3 week strike at the lane and mechanical problems with an optical
subsystem. The new date for o start acceptance tests on the optical system
is 25 February 1970. On 9 January'1970 reconfirmed this date in a cable
to t Yd reported that work was progressing very well. 25X1
4. has informed the technical monitor that the memory capacity of the
Computer (16,000 core memory) is not adequate to handle the entire
computer program. 0 and NPIC are investigating the best approach (drum vs core)
for added memory. When this is resolved I will be requested to submit a pr X a:
