SUBJECT,:;_ : Site Modifications Required for the High Precision
Stereocomparator
1. Several modifications will be required in the new Clean Room
(located in 441) prior to installation of the High Precision Stereo-
comparator in December 1970.
2. The modifications consi..t of:
a. Altering the present openings on the ducts which provide
air conditioning for the electronic cabinets to provide cooling for
an additional cabinet required to house the 16K computer memory
recently added.
b. Moving a cable tray located on the left side of the room
about one foot to provide additional space to permit technicians to
perform maintenance on the left lamp housing.
c. Moving the cable tray at the rear of the Comparator ba...:.
about two feet to make room for the installation of two "dash pots."
This is a change 0 found necessary to eliminate vibrations set up
by the Comparator itself.
3. The changes required to accommodate the dash pots are indicated
on= drawing 8K 1094. Copies of this drawing have been provided to the
