1. The HPSC Coordinating Group met on 18 Ma 1970.

a. The environmental black box has been
delayed in shipment and has not arrived at the
= plant as of 18 May.
b. The optical system will be shipped on
21 May instead of 19 May. This delay is caused

operational material for use in the pre-accep-
tance tests at iI During the discussion of this
material, it was suggested that it might be advan-
tageous to get this material out to by early
August. It could be used by I uin debugging
his programs and also by NPIC programmers in their
on-the-training in mid-August.
h. AID stated that they expect to have the
stereo program on-line by the first of October.
This will be ready when we need it for the HPSC
checkout the latter part of October.

conversation with on 18 May. Mr.
stated that the optical tests had gone
very well and the only problem areas were in
range of reticle adjustment, 2.5 to 1 instead
of 4 to 1 (previously reported); vignetting at
20X in the higher zoom range (previously reported)
but overcome by limiting the zoom from 25X to 200X;
and that distortion had also exceeded the speci-
fication at the same 20X point. gave

Distortion tests on the eyepiece alone produced
the following figures. The eyepiece is 18mm in
diameter.

on getting the operating manuals and test p -Lan in

meeting the schedule. The main holdup is in
getting a good technical writer to put these items

writers but could not find a satisfactory type.

for a two-week period.
1. I Las notified 0 that the Change-
in-Scope to add an additional 16K memory to the 516
computer has been approved. II will have to provide
an additional half size cabinet to house this addi-
tional memory. Logistics will have to make provisions
for this cabinet to be located in close proximity
to the regular computer cabinet. Logistics will
have to provide air ducts in the Clean Room to cool
this added cabinet.
