lhas e~nawards a contract to fabricate the high Frecislon
Stereo Comparator. The fabrication of this instrument is to be in accord-
ance with the specifications that evolved from the design and development
contract recently completed by 0 for NPIC.
2. The program schedule calls for the instrument to be fabricated,
installed and. completely checked out in 92 weeks. plan calls for
the installation of the instrument in 'o co ence the 73rd
week of the program. The Contractor has agreed to supply NPIC with the
environmental, and utilities requirements for the instrument no later than
90 days from the start of the contract. The Contractor does not expect
any significant change in the site preparation requirements that were dis-
cussed faith at earlier coordination meetings.
3. The Contractor was authorized to proceed with the contract on 5
April 1968 so the following dates may be considered to be key dates if
the program is to be completed on schedule.
a. 5 July 1968 - Firm requirements to be levied on
NPIC for site environment and utilities.
b. 1August 1969 - Site Preparation completed by
1IPIC and ready for installation of the instrument.
c. 1 January 1970 -- Instrument and Clean Room Site
completely checked out and ready to be turned over
to the Imagery Exploitation Group.

4. It is requested that appropriate site preparation plans be ini-
tiated to insure completion of the environmental and utilities require-
ments prior to delivery of the instrument.
