There are many areas of concern insofar as the installation of large,
weighty, awkward, sub-sections.
We should install pad eyes in the walls of the pit section so come-along
devices can be used for lateral adjustment.
The crane lift should be designed with as small a differential vertical adjust-
ment as can be purchased. We need a one one thousands of an inch adjustment
wr+ capability.

STA .
It is recommended that furnish a drawing or sketch that indicates
lift locations, type of attacnhmen~t and weight for the major sub-assemblies.
This document would be used to fabricate a mock-up (weighted) in order that slings,
spreaders and cable attachments can be fabricated and practice lifts and
mahvering can be accomplished prior to the arrival of the instrument itself.
The latter portion is most important. A mild bump or a light jar by the riggers
can cause untold damage and delay due to the necessity of realignment following
a bump or jar.
The Barry supports are in place and are connected. The servo controls appear
to overcontrol (my opinion).
The black box cold water heat sink proposal bothered l until we STAT
e ssu ed him that the black box was located in the equipment room away from the
device?
The variable RH from the black box causes concern. The Owners should establish
.,...y the characteristics of the product between 30% and 60% RH.
The black box should be tested in July '69 at the plant and modified STAT
if required and retested in mid-September '69 in The second test is not 25X1
mandatory if the first test is successful.
There is feeling that the operator should know that the material is being held
within the acceptable temperature range. This was discussed at length. The present
proposal is for the installation of a thermistor in each of four heads by the
instrument manufacturer. Two wires for each point will terminate at the exterior
of the machine for connection by others to control leaving temperature. Visual

control read-out (idiot lights not desired) gauges (temp.) to be installed
on wall in view of operator. They have requested that the reset point of the
leaving air dry bulb be from the points of discharge, (4 required) (any two
simultaneously.)
The air dryer that was to be installed in Building "A" is now no longer
required. They are putting a small electric two channel dryer in their utility
cabinet.
The flooring under the operators chair should be removable in two sections
with angles to hold retention panels and tracks for the chair. We will show
our concept ands will mark changes required, hopefully before the contract
There is no 500A, 24V requirement.
The underfloor cable trays will be side supported around the edge of the
sunken area. The trays not against walls will have to have removable supports
on both sides.
Week of November l8th,I to be on East Coast. We should have
the black box schematic ready to sow him, in order that we may proceed.
The time frame appears to have a six weeks slippage added to the current
CPM chart.
