SUBJECT: High Precision Stereocomparator;.Report of
Travel to Contractor
1. On 21 and 22 April 1969,1
ESD, visited
25X1 to di cuss the ;Subject project. n

Contract Administrator.
2. The discussions on-the 21st concerned
the optics subcontractor. Work is progressing, but
in his opinion, the delivery schedule of the optics will slip
one month. Since this is the critical path in the project, it
will probably result in an additional month slippage on final
delivery.
3. On Tuesday, the 22nd, the morning was spent in familiari-
2 5X1 zing with the project. This included a
25X1 briefing by and demonstration of the air bearing system
on the main stages and exercising of the partially assembled con-
trol console.
4. Tuesday afternoon opened with a discussion of the job
schedule. In the course of this discussion it was agreed that
the test plan for TEB review would be forwarded to NPIC 60 days prior to the beginning of preacceptance tests at the contractor's
facility.
5. Discussion of the maintenance program and spare parts
stock was the next item on the agenda. A list of long-lead items,
their vendors and estimated costs, will be forwarded to ESD as
soon as possible.
