1, The Development & Engineering Division is currently evaluating
the proposal referenced above. Comments on aspects relating to your
Division are requested.
2. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to:
a. The value of such standards in your testing
and evaluation of optical equipment.
b. Recognition and nature of details, either
unclear or omitted, which should be resolved
before a final decision is made.
