4. Announcements.
a. A special briefing on EOI/NRT will be presents td o EXRAND mem-
bers on 30 September at NPIC at 0900. Special clearances will be re-
quired.

b. Final arrangements for the trip to ACIC on 21-22
September
were made. The Subcommittee was unanimous in deciding to make no
trip to Shaw AFB. At a later date consideration would be given to
a trip to Eglin AFB for briefing on and demonstration of a number of
systems.
C. reported that the briefing byl on "Free
Radical" was scheduled for the EXRAND meeting on 21 October. He is
hopeful that by that date selected classified passes could be reproduced
on free radical and the results reported and demonstrated. He stated
that in this connection, 0 Westover AFB, has received acceptable
examples of free radical and is now in the process of making sensitometric
tests.

their R&D capabilities. The possibility exists that a number of
research areas can be stimulated individually by members of the com-
munity and financed by company funds rather than government funds.
e. stated (when asked) his latest assessment o the time
of the first mission of the new system. He stated that there is slippage
in time and the first mission will probably be rescheduled for sometime
in March.
I
I I reported that there was a slippage
n production of
the 1540 g a e production plan at= but that it only affected
delivery of the first table. The production timing has been adjusted
so that deliveries will be on schedule by the end of December.

g. reported that he was planning for distribution of
the surplus 940 light tables from NPIC when he recieved the quota and
authority from NPIC and the requirements from the Community.
h. invited EXRAND to conduct its December meeting at
NRTSC. The membership accepted the invitation. The meeting is scheduled
for 16 December.
i. I commented on anewly developed polaroid quick copy
camera which makes 8 x 10 positive prints from the DP on a light table.
Since he had not heard of that particular development earlier, he
suggested that there may be other useful developments not circulated
within the Community; he specifically asked for information from RADC
and NRTSC on any new items. I requested that this suggestion
be delayed until publication of the latest Technical Task Team's con-
solidated R&D project list which would be published hopefully before
November. Much information would be listed and projects of interest
could then be reviewed.
5. Old Business.
I J
a. I Icommented on the results of the work being accom-
plished by the Technical Task Team; inputs have been received by most
of the Community members. He said that it appeared that considerable
review of project inputs will have to be made and matched with the
EXRAND objectives. At this stage, it appears that there may be some
gaps and duplications which the team meeting of 29 September will
address. The Technical Task Team hopes to publish the list in October.
0
b. It was pointed out that the project listing for the CCB was
not receiving dissemination throughout EXRAND for those items of
exploitation development interests. ill request through
channels a briefing on the appropriate CCB activities of interest to
EXRAND for the November meeting. II a member of the CCB, strong-
