MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD.: '
SUBJECT: Development Objectives for Basic Research in Precise Measurement
1.:. TSSG~RED is planning a, long term program of basic research in
precise measurement. Attached is a draft copy of the development objet-
tives for. the FY-70 portion of this program.
2. .It is requested that each Group or Staff review the objectives
of this proposed: program a;nd report your comments to TSSG~RED by 12 Janiz-
ary lg7o. The .comments-should include:..
a. Any additional recommended areas or items that should be
covered in-the development objectives.
b. Any significant opposition to areas contained in the planned
-program.
c. The support in manpower,' instrument, or working area that..
operational units are willing to provide the program.
d. The type of personnel (interpreter, analyst, photogramme-
trist, technologist) that each Group is willing to have actively
.engaged in any part of the, program.,
e. Instruments available for loan to a contractor for use oz~
the program..'
f. Surplus. instruments to'be surveyed and made available for
parts in breadboarding systems.
g. The name flf a.pers.on to contact on any future reference to
this program.
