REPORT SHOWING MANHOUR SAVINGS
1. Drafting - 80 man hours
2. Composing and typing of let dummy - 32 man hours
3. Editing - 40 man hours
4. Final composing and production of mats - 24 man hours
5. Final proofing and correcting by editors - 8 man hours
TIME SAVED
1. Approximately 20 man hours could have been saved here by eliminating
hand lettering.
2. Approximately 10 man hours saved because of the greater ease with
which this machine can compose as compared to a regular typewriter.
3. Approximately 10 man hours saved because this machine will produce
a dummy copy that is in a much more finalized fors.
4. Approximately 12 hours saved by eliminating the second typing for
margin justification completely and eliminating the re-typing of those
portions of the original dummy not modified b y the editor.
5. This entire step will be eliminated because the second typing is
completely automatic.
