MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Visit of Two SAC Representatives to HTA
on 14 March 1957
1. Following a meeting at H Street on 13 March with the
two SAC representatives, AFOIN representatives and Project rep-
resentatives concerning the R & D program for PI and PG equip-
ment to exploit T photography, the subject visit ocaured.
AFOIN representatives were informed on 13 March of the intention
of the SAC representatives to come to HTA on 14 March. No AKIN
representative sat in on the subject meeting.
2. It was apparent from the visit of the SAC representatives
that certain HTA materials had not yet been received by SAC. Only
two of the HTA Accession Lists of T Reports had been received
although some six have been produced. The SAC representatives
noted the missing report numbers. The SAC representatives also
indicated that they received only the dupe positives of T photog-
raphy and that they hadn't seen any plots, mission coverage
summaries or other related reports produced by HTA.
3. The foregoing is in no way intended to produce any dis-
cord between SAC and AFOIN but to point up the fact that some HTA
materials which SAC apparently would like to have are not reaching
them at all or only after considerAple delay. HTA produces enough
copies of all of the needed material to meet SACIs requirements
but beyond recording this situation, HTA intends to do nothing more
in this matter unless properly ordered.
