SUBJECT : Coverage of ICBM Complexes by WAG Cell

1. The Missiles and Space Division has a standing requirement to
furnish, on a mission by mission basis, data showing what photographic
coverage was obtained at each of the 25 ICBM complexes and the 75 MR/IRBM
complexes. An acetate overlay, keyed to a base map at the same scaled showing
the location of each frame of photography and the general weather conditions
is prepared for each of these complexes (see attachment 1 and 2).
2. The easiest way to provide with the information he
needs would be to place his name on distribution for these complex base
maps and all future mission overlays. could then convert this
information himself to a list of the WAG cells covered, if he had in his
possession a second acetate overlay, one for each of these complexes,
inscribed with the WAG cell grid at the same scale as the base map (see
attachment 3). He could make this conversion by superimposing the WAG
cell grid over each mission overlay and record which WAG cells were covered
by negatable photography.
3. One product of this procedure might be a map, similar to that
shown in attachment 4, which graphically illustrates the location of
photographic passes at each complex and which WAG cells were covered.
