Trip M~ 25X1 mu;! Approved For Reler 4 M . A-RDP78B 3 bd5q; 0'd1=6-5 27 July 1970 PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT BOARD,.NPIC The following items of general significance were selected from the minutes of the Board for the period 20 through 24 July 1970. Receipt of NPIC Requirements During the past few weeks, the Center has received several requests for immediate support (briefing boards, vugraphs, briefing support, and imagery exploitation) to the DCI, JCS and Secretary of DeferJe. In each case, very short deadlines were imposed and required special handling procedures. This is an accepted practice. However, in more than one instance, all NPIC components involved were not alerted as early as they should have been and specifics of the requirement became garbled or incomplete. In order to facilitate such requirements totally, the PMB and PPBS/RAD strongly urge that notice of similar requests for support be relayed immediately by telephone to the RAD. This will ensure that specifics of the requirement, assignment of proper project numbers, and inter-Group coordination will be effected properly and immediately. Project 710030, Center Administration In early June 70 the PMB prepared a proposal for a revision of project 710030 (Center Administration). The proposal suggested 30 June as an effective date, however the proposal is still under review and the project numbers presented therein should not be used in lieu of 710030 until further advised. IAS Priority Request For a POW Camp Model NPIC has been advised by IAS that a priority DDP request to construct a detailed model can be expected on 27 July 70. Determination by DDP of particulars such as the scale preclude an earlier arrival of the request. PSG estimates that 300 man-hours will be required including 60-100 hours overtime to meet the firm 17 August due date. In light of this near due date PSG has started preliminary work in anticipation of the receipt of the requirement. IEG has agreed to an estimated slippage of some 30 days for their SA-2 model as a result of the DDP requirement.
