SIJEJECT : Reorganization
1. The Research and Reference Division, PSG is reorganized,
effective immediately, to realign and amalgamate those functions
in which there was duplication or enough similarity to warrant
centralization in one facility. Additional responsibilities as-
signed to R I:I) required assimilation in the interest of efficient
utilization of personnel, space and equipment in preparation for
on-coming programs.
2. Consistent with the above objectives and existing Center
policy of reassigning personnel. to develop supervisory flexibility
and further individual career programs, a number of key personnel
assignments are being made. These include:

3. It is hoped that this realignment, together with our
increased emphasis on individual training and the use of auto-
mated methods and equipment, will enable the Research and Ref-
erence Division to meet its additional. and increasingly impor-
tant responsibilities within the stringent deadlines imposed
on it by its customers.
