Despite the bleak outlook at the time I wrote you last, light has
now appeared on the horizon with respect to an assignment for you at
the conclusion of your present tour. I know what good news this will
be for you, so I am writing Immediately even though I do not have full
details. Suffice it to say that the assignment will be with Art Lundahl
and will be designed to make use of your wealth of knowledge and
experience in the business. You should be hearing from Art's office
shortly.
Had you heard that Art's father died? It was last week, when Art was

MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: NPIC/Logisties Short Term and Long Term Personnel Staffing
1. As a result of conversations with I __J Executive Dire ctor/NPIC,25X1
and members of his Staff, plus the undersigned and members of his Staff, agreements
have been arrived at to accomplish the following actions.
2. On or about 1 May 1970, the Office of Logistics will make available to NPIC,
on a detailed basis for a 3- to 4-month period, 1 1, an engineer to our Real Estate and Construction Division. During the period of this detail, Mrzgned25X1
will report directly to the Chief of the Support Services Division and will be re- 25X1
sponsible for all engineering projects being conducted on behalf of NPIC 25X1
