2. BRIEFING I accompanied to
brief George W. Ashworth, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff,
on Agency involvement in the Sinai. See Memorandum for the Record.
4. PRIVACY I called the office of
Representative Dan Daniel (D., Va.), and spoke to Mr. Donald Hoye,
in regard to his inquiry as to whether we had, for distribution, instructions
on how an individual can obtain his file from our Agency under the Privacy
Act. I advised Mr. Hoye that the Federal Register, Volume 40, dated
August 28, 1975, contained procedures for requests for per tonal files and
that if he did not have access to the Federal Re ister, I would be happy to
send him the excerpt. He said he appreciated my call but would prefer to
contact the Library of Congress to obtain the particular volume.
5. LEGISLATION Picked up a copy of
the reported out version and the last Committee print of S. Res. 400 from
the Senate Rules Committee.
