We are interested in how the CIA EJLeLn.tivA Rea% collects foreign narcotics intelligence, and how and by whom 6_ that intelligence is evaluated and disseminated to other agens-iles..~._ such as Customs, the State Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Additionally, we are interested in any overlaps that exist between your narcotics intelligence gathering activities and those of DEA, as well as any problems which may be a result of any such overlaps. We are tentatively scheduling our next set of hearings for the week of August 23. We would like to have you available for an appearance during that week, if convenient.
