Troops pushed out approximately 500 meters to the north and 800 meters to the west. Progress to the southeast reportedly has opened the river for resupply. Meanwhile, government troops abandoned Kaoh Krabei, an outpost on the Bassac River 5 miles southeast of Takhmau, under enemy pressure. So far, only 74 of the approximately 200-man garrison have arrived back at Takhmau. Steady but inconclusive fighting has been going on in the region for several weeks. The government has substantial blocking forces between this area and Phnom Penh. Dlslr limllon: LI. Gen. Walter: 25X1A9a r 'rur:lut Mi.
