The recent upsurge in fighting in the central and southern portions of the delta follows the pattern of a Communist highpoi.nt there during the middle or last half of each month. The North Vietnamese launched a tank-led assault on April 28 against a government outpost--Long Khot,--located at the Cambodian border in Ken Tuong Province.
