INTRODUCTION
This brief has been prepared in accordance with NPIC responsibilities
for third-phase imagery exploitation under the National Tasking Plan.
BASIC DESCRIPTION
Although SAM Site E12-1 was a projected location for an ABM launch
complex, there is no evidence on small-scale KEYHOLE photography that
actual construction of the complex was ever started.
Only minor changes are observed in the support area, and no change
at all can be seen at the support buildings associated with the planned
ABM launch complex. Only two of the three multistory apartment-type
buildings observed under construction in 1965 were completed. In the
section of the support area associated with the SA-1 site, two buildings
have been removed.
