INTRODUCTION
This report updates the portions of a previous NPIC report 2./ dealing
with SSM Tracking Facility 5 and describes the new construction activity
and significant changes at the facility from March 1967 through December 1968.
SSM Tracking Facility 5 (Figures 1 and 2) was first observed on Church
Door photography in January 1962 and is approximately 27 nautical miles north-
west of Launch Complex A. No security measures have been Observed at the
road-served facility.

BASIC DESCRIPTION
The facility was expanded between December 1966 and May 1967 by the
installation of one optical tracking device (Radar A) and the construction
of 14 buildings, making a total of two optical tracking devices and 17
buildings. No activity has been Observed since May 1967.
