STATION, CHIAO-HO, CHINA
1. A new type of radio
communications station has been
identified 10.1 nautical miles
south-southwest of Chiao-ho,
China, at 43-33-55N 127-15-20E

2. Four guyed, lattice-mast,
vertical radiators approximately
282 meters high were
observed arranged in a rectangular
pattern. A tuning station is
located at the base of each
vertical radiator (Figure I). A
small support area is located on
the communications site.
3. The tuning station at
the base of each radiator indi-
cates that the facility has a
transmitting capability. The
presence of four vertical
radiators with tuning stations
at their bases is a new configu-
ration for this type of communica-
tions system in China.
4. A review of earlier
coverage revealed that the facility
was not present on photography of
