A storage area located four nautical miles (nm) west of Dzhezkaz an USSR (1L7-52N 68-20E) was studied on good quality photography in accordance with the above referenced requirement. 2. This storage area is composed of 15 buildings laid out in a rectangular secured area oriented northwest-southeast and measuring 2350 by 760 feet. A triangular area 760 by 700 feet has been added to the northwest end since 1960. The area is served by a rail spur which has been extended from the Dzhez- kazgan - Karaganda rail line. (See Figure 1) 3. The principal structures in this installation are six identically shaped buildings placed in two rows of three and oriented northwest-southeast. Each building measures feet and is divided into four equal sections having an inside measurement of Each section has two small shed-like projections or entryways an interior measurement r, feet. All walls and partitions a thick. Th buildings were under construction n , with the walls and partitions in place but with the roofs lacking. The installation appears complete in 1962. (See Figure 2) 4. There are nine smaller buildings, two of which are out- side the main security area and one is at the entrance. The positioning of the remaining six suggest they are used for storage. Three of these buildings appear to have the same specialized construction features as the larger buildings. Security measures observed are double fencing of the main storage area, possible guard towers and placement in an isolated area.
